Working in ECG’s academic healthcare practice, I have the opportunity to partner on a daily basis with some of the most intelligent and creative minds in academic medicine. By teaming with faculty and institutional leaders, we are developing innovative, sustainable financial and strategic solutions, as well as enabling medical institutions to further achieve their tripartite mission.
With extensive expertise in the challenges facing academic healthcare organizations, Matt is a trusted partner to health science centers, academic medical centers, and teaching hospitals. For more than 15 years, Matt has worked closely with his academic health center clients on key initiatives concerning compensation planning, faculty deployment and production analysis, physician/hospital funds flows, academic and research program financial assessments, and department financial/operational reviews. Matt's capabilities with a variety of academic healthcare issues allow him to assist clients in developing and implementing stable, predictable, and effective economic models for market-based physician compensation plans and performance-based hospital/physician financial arrangements while contributing to their understanding of the strategic, financial, academic, and research implications of doing so.
